Thursday’s Late Show with David Letterman introduced Hank Aaron, a Hall of Famer and living legend in baseball as the special guest. After discussing Aaron’s baseball career, they also shared two Topps Baseball Cards; one a custom David Letterman card embedded with a diamond, and the original Hank Aaron trading card.
Aaron offered a Topps card as a gift to Letterman, with a picture of him making his first pitch. After also showcasing his own Topps Baseball Card, Aaron jokingly announced he hoped to swap cards since he anticipated Letterman’s would be worth more.
Although not part of the current Topps giveaway, the diamond featured within the Letterman card was embedded for a reason. As their way of celebrating their Diamond Anniversary for “60 Years of Collecting”, Topps has launched an ongoing giveaway for users to unlock cards and win some very intriguing diamond prizes.
