According to the latest Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) advertising revenue report, internet advertising revenues set a new quarterly record with $8.4 Billion for the first quarter of 2012. This is the highest first quarter revenue ever for internet advertising, and a 15% increase over the $7.3 Billion in revenues for first quarter of 2011.
These numbers are a continuation of 2011’s results, which saw revenues climb to an all-time high of $31 Billion. Revenues include mobile, digital video, search and display advertising.

These results are further affirmation that marketers are reacting to the fact that more and more consumers are turning to the Web for news and information by allocating more ad dollars to the digital space.
