The Overdrive team enjoyed our (end of) summer outing this year at no place other than our beloved Fenway Park. Is there a better way to celebrate the end of summer then going to a Red Sox game on a beautiful New England day? Answer: no, there is not.
Step 1: Start with a good breakfast
The day kicked off at the Overdrive office with a delicious spread of breakfast food to energize the team for the fun-filled day ahead. With full stomachs, clear eyes, and a great deal of excitement, we were picked up by our own personal trolley from Old Town Trolley Tours so we could cruise to Fenway in style.
Step 2: Arrive in style to your own private party
Although the game started at 1pm, we arrived early to our own personal park oasis, Carl’s Corner, where we filled up on everything from lobster rolls to Sam Adams to Fenway Franks. You know, typical New England things. The Sox put on quite a show in the first couple of innings bringing in a total of 5 runs, allowing them to victoriously take the game 5-4. I guess you can say every team had a fantastic day, except for the San Fran Giants, who tried their best but were ultimately defeated (Go Sox).
Step 3: Everyone has a great day
In conclusion, the sun was out, the Sox won, and the hotdogs seemed to be almost endless. It doesn’t get much better than that. Thank you to our fearless leaders for planning out a great day to end the summer off on a high note!
