If you haven’t yet learned exactly what it takes to make beer, this is something you should look into. Here at Overdrive, we visited our friends at Barleycorn’s Craft Brew in Natick, MA. to go through the step-by-step process in creating this delicious beverage in homemade form.
What we learned while spending time going through the process and getting our hands hop-filled, was that making beer takes time and patience in addition to having love for the end result.
As with everything at Overdrive, there was competition involved. After being split into two teams, we created two different kinds of beer: American Wheat Ale and Beantown Lager. From there, each team was to come up with the best name and best label for their beer.
Once we were able to complete the initial beer-making process, we needed to leave our newly created beverages to properly ferment. So, we will take another trip to Barleycorn at the end of the month to bottle our beers and announce which team won with the best name and label for the beer they have created. So stay tuned!
It was a great time had by all: we learned how to make beer, enjoyed good company, and as always, tied in some healthy competition!
